Expedition Leader

SUMMARY​

This is a minimum four to six month post as senior expedition staff member who manages all BCEC Expedition activities to ensure the scientific aims and objectives are met safely and effectively while promoting good community relations. The successful candidate will be working closely with project partners and representing Blue Caribbean Environmental Conservation to continue to help develop the Dive and Science programs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT​
  • Must have proven practical management and leadership experience

  • Must have good communication and organization skills

  • Computer Literate

  • Must be a highly creative and motivated team player

  • Professionalism and Work Ethic

  • Positive Attitude and Energy

  • **Scuba diving certification, minimum of PADI Advanced Open Water (AOW) or Equivalent 
    **If you are not scuba certified it's included with the expedition fees if needed

     

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

* Ensuring expedition sites adhere to the standard operational procedures and guidelines as specified by BCEC

* Management of on-site finances, supplies and logistics

* Weekly compiling of  expedition reports and equipment inventories

* Conducting regular risk assessments and reporting any possible hazard

* Co-ordinate with locals, volunteers and partners alike

* Oversee the over all day to day operations at base site and on the daily expedition activities
